Six tools to a great printable coupon
November 29, 2007

Ok... after designing about a hundred sample coupons for "Create!", I now have a better idea what tools can make the job easier. :-)

These tools are either free or darn close.

1. Create Software
Without a doubt, this is the easiest way to design and manage online coupons (shameless plug ;-)

2. Snag It
There are times you need to get a screen capture. I have used Snagit since version 3 and these guys make a great product. www.snagit.com

3. iStock Photo
I like this site for stock photography and vector art. This is a pay per download service but they are very affordable and the selection is great. www.istockphoto.com

4. The Open Photo Project
This is another great place to find photos. openphoto.net

5. Open Clip Art Library
You can find some great free clipart on this site. www.openclipart.org

6. Adobe Fireworks
Ok... not exactly cheap... but this is a phenomenal product for image design. Create your own clipart and backgrounds without having a "PHD" in graphics design.

Jason Burgess
Along with being our lead developer and designer, Jason answers phones and takes out the office garbage ;-) When he's not thinking about tech stuff he's usually working out, playing golf or mowing his lawn.
